Edgar Degas
A French Impressionist whose artwork was based on the subject of dance was Edgar-Degas. He was a famous artist primarily known because of his work which depicts dancers. He was well versed with oil paintings and pastel drawings as well. Some of this master artist’s paintings include The Ballet Class, In a café, The Dancing Class, Interior and others. He wanted to capture the power and grace of the ballet dancers, that’s what he was curious about. He was more of a Realist.
